Booking Deposit
Gemma Waugh will hold provisional bookings for your wedding day and trial, confirmed by telephone or email, for a period of 48 hours and the appointment will become final upon the safe receipt of a confirmation email and deposit of £150. The deposit amount will be deducted from the total amount on final payment. Gemma Waugh will acknowledge receipt of the deposit via email and confirm this as the final booking, at which point all prices will be clarified and agreed. The remaining balance is then payable on the day of your wedding. In the event that the booking deposit is not received, the provisional booking will lapse and the date will become available to another client. If the deposit is received late, the date will still be made available to the client, if another client has not booked it.
If a client is dissatisfied with with the trial service and has paid a deposit to secure a wedding appointment, the client reserves the right to cancel the booking if done within 48 hours of the trial appointment, and receive a full refund of the booking deposit.
The booking deposit may be made by bank transfer or cheque to Gemma Waugh and sent to 67 North View Road, London N8 7LN.
Trial Consultations
It is strongly recommended that a trial appointment be booked to agree a style and procedure for the wedding day. Trial appointments are charged separately and payment is required either in advance or is to be made directly to Gemma Waugh on the day of the appointment by cash.
Several hairstyles and make-up looks may be tried at the trial appointment until the client chooses their preferred style and make-up for the wedding day.
Any requested changes after the initial trial date may result in a further trial appointment for which an additional charge will be made.
If the client is unhappy or dissatisfied in any way with the service supplied prior to or during the trial then she must notify Gemma Waugh immediately or within 48 hours of the trial appointment. Further services may be supplied entirely at the discretion of Gemma Waugh.
Final Payments
The final balance of the payment is due in cash on the day of the wedding upon completion of the agreed service or if preferred by the client, payment can be made in advance of the wedding day by bank transfer.
Additional Make-up Artist Fee
If your bridal party is three or more people for full hair and make-up, Gemma Waugh will be accompanied by an experienced additional make-up artist, for which there will be an added fee of £180.00
Hairpiece Hire
Any hairpieces used on the wedding day will be charged at a hire rate of £15.00 a day and will need to be posted back to Gemma Waugh in a pre-paid and trackable envelope that Gemma Waugh will provide you with, no later than 2 weeks after your wedding day. Failure to do this will result in a full charge to yourself of the cost of the hairpiece (anything up to £300.00)
Journey Time & Travel Expenses
Journey time and travel expenses for both your consultation and wedding day will be charged as follows:
- Journeys up to 10 mile radius from Crouch End N8, London - no charge
- Journeys between 10 and 20 miles from Crouch End N8, London - 45p a mile
- Journeys over 20 miles from Crouch End N8, London - 60p a mile
hair extensions
Consultation
A consultation is compulsory prior to a hair extension application appointment.
Gemma Waugh will travel to you or accommodate you at her address in North London. The Consultation will be charged at a flat rate of £60.00 plus travel expenses, payable on the day of the consultation in cash. If Gemma Waugh decides your hair is not suitable for hair extensions the £60.00 consultation fee will be wavered. The decision to proceed with booking a hair extension application appointment is entirely at the discretion of Gemma Waugh. If Gemma Waugh sees fit, a hair cutting will be taken to colour match the extensions. The ordering of hair takes a minimum of 5 working days.

The Hair Extension Application Appointment
The hair extension application appointment will take place a minimum of 5 working days after the consultation. Gemma Waugh will travel to you or accommodate you at her address in North London. The hair extension application appointment will take approximately 7hours, depending on the volume of hair needed. This time excludes final cutting and styling.
Removal & Maintenance
Hair extensions should be removed no longer than 3 months after application.
Gemma Waugh strongly advises a break of no less than a month before reapplication. Removal and maintenance of hair extensions will be charged at a flat rate of £85.00 an hours excluding travel expenses. Gemma Waugh cannot be held responsible for damage to hair where the full aftercare advice has not been taken.
Final Payments
The final balance of the payment is due in cash on the day of the application appointment, upon completion of the agreed service or if preferred by the client, Payment can be made in advance of the hair extension application appointment day by Bank Transfer. Aftercare products will be charged separately.

Parking Expenses, Tolls & Congestion Charges
All car parking expenses and congestion charges incurred for both consultation and hair extension application appointment will be recharged to you at cost.
Bank Holiday & Sunday Consultation Surcharge
An additional £50 will be charged for consultations and hair extension appointments that take place on a Sunday or a Bank Holiday.
Early Morning Fee
A fee of £50 will be charged for start times/long journeys that begin before 8.00am
Cancellation
If you cancel your hair extension application appointment after the purchase of the hair i.e: after paying your booking deposit, no refund can be given.
If Gemma Waugh is unable to attend the hair extension application appointment due to circumstances beyond her control, she will make every attempt to find another suitable date. If she is unable to do so, then you will be refunded your booking fee and consultation costs.
private tuition
The lesson plan
Gemma Waugh will travel to you or accommodate you at her address in North London. Gemma Waugh will provide all tools and products for the duration of the lesson. Prior to your lesson, Gemma Waugh will spend 15 minutes discussing your lesson plan and she encourages you to talk to her about what you want to gain form the lesson. The first half of the lesson Gemma Waugh will demonstrate on you or another party. The second half of the lesson you will practice on you, or another party.
A maximum of 4 people permitted per lesson.
Final Payments
